Nick Kunzer is a 22-year-old competitive surfer and recent graduate in Biochemistry at the University of California at San Diego. He’s currently balancing a life of research at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, surfing every chance he gets, and dabbling in the seedy bar life of Mission Beach. Growing up in Hermosa Beach, he was exposed to competitive surfing at a young age, and spent most of his weekends in high school and college competing on the NSSA circuit. After finishing his research project, he plans on applying to Medical and Public Health school.
