Alex Yoder is lovely to watch on snow. And he definitely doesn’t take himself too seriously. Along with filmer Ian Durkin, Alex created The Secret of Bottom Turn Island, a satirical look at the art of snow surfing. In Japan, many practitioners of the art known as snowboarding do so with different shaped boards and ride mountains as if they were waves. Alex set out to find the secret in this Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew-esque take. Riding snow in Japan just looks epic, doesn’t it? The waves don’t look terrible, either.
