The Inertia

Late last year, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort announced it would be completely powered by renewable wind energy. Well, the mountain has lived up to the promise, which is impressive in this day and age, proving completely that renewable energy is a viable way to not only run grids, which then run businesses, but that renewables may actually create jobs.

The mountain says everything from lift ops, including its famous tram, to base area operations, run entirely on wind that all comes from the Horse Butte Wind Farm just across the state Wyoming state line in Idaho as part of Lower Valley Energy’s Green Power Program. JHMR just released this quick piece on its wind energy program and its inspiring, to say the least.
