Matt Long is an artist hailing from New Jersey. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in graphic design from Shepherd University, West Virginia in 2007, Matt Long returned to the small shore town of Cape May, New Jersey, where he continued his summer career as a screen printer, apparel designer and longboarder at the Flying Fish Studio.
Currently, Matt is a graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer for the Bechtel Corporation. Matt has found great inspiration in the ocean, surfing, nature, music, healthy activities and anything that “goes.” “I love to travel and experience new things that allow me to surround myself with good music, good food, and good people,” says Long. “I’ve always sought a healthy and positive quality of life and I think that art in any form can be a positive contribution to that lifestyle. I hope to illustrate that idea through my work and its use of bright, vivid color and organic, natural style.”
Today, Matt focuses his energy into any and all creative endeavors – whether it’s screen printing tee shirts, painting murals, or designing nine to five.
