Movies alone can’t save the world, but the people who watch them can. That’s one of Save the Waves’ beliefs that’s fueled their film fest for seven years now. They’ve featured Taylor Steele, Chris Malloy, Cyrus Sutton and plenty others just to name a few, all in an effort to use films to spark environmental activism. This year’s festival tour is hitting up San Diego, Santa Barbara, Austin, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Ensenada and Santiago in just one month’s time to benefit their environmental programs and campaigns. Not a bad cherry to throw on top of that sweet taste of surf culture.
