There’s something special about raw footage. Sure, it’s nice to sit back and absorb a clean, polished edit with giant hacks synced to cymbals crashing. Isn’t it far better, though, to sit on a beach and breathe in the ocean air and feel the roar of the waves? The North Shore, in particular, is a fantastic place to do that. The surfing there is a pleasure to watch. The level of talent is high, of course, but the waves are the real stars of the show.
But if you can’t sit there in front of the North Shore’s Off the Wall with your toes in the sand, and your shoulders ruined from the constant paddling, here are 17 minutes of nothing but people surfing waves. It’s almost like you’re there yourself… almost.
