Sometimes you can just let the surfing do the talking. For his latest video offering, big wave hunter Nathan Florence decided to forgo his typical YouTuber trappings, in favor of a good old fashioned surf edit.
The action took place in Ireland, which has long been a favorite venue for Florence. Joined by his wife and frequent filmer Mahina Florence, he braved frigid waters and thundering slabs in search of a perfect barrel.
However, the waves aren’t the whole story, here. The whole thing reads as much as a travelogue as it does a surf edit, with detours to picturesque landcapes, cosy firesides, and a windy hilltop that seemingly threatened to carry Florence away at one point.
It’s a beautiful edit, and makes for a welcome reprieve from the relentless onslaught of influencer content. Check it out below.
