The Inertia

Eimeo Czermak is a one of the best surfers at Teahupo’o when it’s big. He’s pretty quiet about it, but anyone who knows the ins and outs of the wave at the End of the Road knows that Czermak will charge harder than just about anyone.

In his recent YouTube offering, Czermak gives the viewer a little over five minutes of basically raw footage of a recent, heavy day at Chopes. It’s got a few of the usual suspects, as you’d expect, but it wasn’t one of those swells that drew the attention of the world. Czermak called it a “carnage session,” likely because he destroyed a few surfboards in the process of slotting himself inside one of the best tubes on Earth, but no matter how many boards he breaks, it’s a sure bet that he’ll be back whenever the waves call his name.
