It’s summertime on Oahu’s North Shore. The Seven Mile Miracle is quieter than usual. Those winter swells are rest and the tourists that flood the place are, for the most part, at home behind locked doors and a mask. That means that Pipeline is going to be empty more than usual. Which means that Jamie O’Brien is going to do something out there to take advantage of the situation. He’s a master fun-haver. Every day, Jamie O’Brien devotes himself to doing things that are going to make him smile. And on this particular, day, he did a whole lot of those things: an early morning dive followed by a quick fish, then onto a winch session with Nathan Florence.
