Did you know that Matt Meola and Albee Layer had a vlog? Well, you’d be forgiven if you didn’t as The Isle is a relatively new series for the boys from Maui. In fact, this is the second episode and it’s pretty good. Matt and Albee learn to wing foil. It isn’t as easy as it looks. Annie Reickert and Olivia Jenkins give the boys an absolute schooling in the art of the wing.
Wings, if you need a quick reminder, are a compromise between a kite and a windsurf setup. Plenty of power, way easier to stop, much less gear. Unfortunately, the ladies didn’t let the boys know that all they need to do is take their bottom hands off the wing to de-power. They nearly dislocated their shoulders.
