Before the internet, talented filmmakers working on disparate projects were forced to make impossible choices. Of all the amazing clips obtained for an edit, for instance, a filmmaker would have to cut the very good clips from the very very good clips. The former would land on the so-called “cutting room floor” and never see the light of day.
Luckily, the internet has created a home for filmmakers to upload impressive pet projects and highlight reels that might otherwise gather digital dust on a hard drive.
This month, there’s been no shortage of 2018 highlight reels sliding across our desks. But this one from London/Cornwall-based filmmaker Seth Hughes gave us pause. The mostly cold wave action features a cameo or two from style man Mikey Feb. We recommend you press play.
