Balangan has been very good recently. Like, very good. But on the afternoon of July 10, it was nearly as good as it can get.
It was the second day of a solid swell and conditions dipped slightly, but when the afternoon tide began to push, a little bit of unfocused energy began to become more clear.
“The pushing tide around 5 p.m. started to deliver some consistently bigger set waves again for the afternoon session,” Surf Raw Files wrote. “Dead low tide meant more open walls and less tube time, but still some long waves to surf!”
As has been the case as of late, the place was relatively uncrowded, and the average Joes out there had a session that they’ll be remembering for a long, long time.
