Cape Solander, the place also known as Ours, is not Ours. It is theirs. It is theirs because the vast majority of us wouldn’t be able to handle it, and the place has been proving that in spades in recent weeks.
This particular video was shot over Easter weekend — it was a good weekend to be a surfer in Australia — and many of the usual suspects headed to Ours. Nathan Florence, Kipp Caddy, Max McGuigan and a host of other chargers were all there to pit themselves against one of Australia’s heaviest slabs, and with a crew like that, it’s understandable that there was hardly an unridden wave in sight.
