Noosa doesn’t get this good very often. Once every few years, however, a cyclone will make its way to just the right spot to spew waves so good the don’t even seem real. Such is the case with Cyclone Oma. While many other places along the Australian coastline haven’t lived up to the hype that was palpable in the days leading up to its arrival, Noosa turned into something magical. Asher Pacey, Kyuss King, Julian Wilson, Wade Goodall, Harrison Roach, Alex Knost, and Caleb Tancred were among the throngs who were there to greet it, and it was a day they won’t soon forget.
