The Inertia

Noosa’s Boiling Pot is a strange wave when things get churned up. And what churns things up more than a cyclone? By mid-day on February 13, Cyclone Uesi hammered the place until it barely resembled what it normally looks like.

“By Thursday lunchtime,” wrote Aussie Surf Clips, “the boiling pot had turned into a deformed freak.” Huge pulses of swell maxed out the point for a short time, but since it’s Australia, more than enough locals brought out their step-ups to try their hand — and by the looks of it, it was a good idea.

Only the best. We promise.
