Thanksgiving may herald the transition from fall to winter across much of the U.S., but in Hawaii, winter’s been in full swing for nearly a month.
An especially active North Pacific has graced much of Oahu’s North Shore with seemingly endless swell since Halloween. And the Seven Mile Miracle’s crown jewel – a little slab of reef known as Banzai Pipeline – has been producing.
Currently, like much of the surfing world, we’re boots on the ground (er, sand) over here and tossed a bird in the air at Pipe for a glimpse of the free surf action. As expected, it did not disappoint.
