Kelly Slater’s wave pool is a relatively exclusive place. You kind of have to know a guy, know a guy who knows a guy, or simply throw out a wad of cash to surf the joint. But Jamie O’Brien knows a guy. Or a guy who knows a guy. In fact, Jamie might be the guy himself. Whatever the case may be, Jamie O’Brien, who recently left his home at Pipeline to find a river wave in the middle of nowhere with Ben Gravy, decided to make a pit stop at Lemmore.
“A friend of a friend of a friend’s son is graduating,” Jamie explained. “Secretly, none of them really know I’m here, so we’re going to surprise them and they’re going to be losing their minds today and we’re going to have the best day ever.”
