Jamie O’Brien’s house looks over one of the most iconic waves on earth. He surfs Pipeline more than just about anyone. Because of that, he’s got the place dialed, and he’s one of the best surfers at one of the best waves. But we’d wager that having a perfect wave within spitting distance also adds to his love for finding strange, imperfect waves. He’s constantly on the search for a different feeling, and recently (well, maybe not SO recently), he’s been finding that different feeling on river waves.
On a trip to California, Jamie hooked up with Blair Conklin and the Skid Kids to surf a fun little river wave, which was followed up by surfing a perfect, glassy little shore break.
