For the last little while, we’ve been clubbed over the head with the enormous swell that hit the Hawaiian Islands. Jaws was about as close to maxing as we’ve ever seen. Waimea Bay was Eddie-sized. The entire North Shore was ridiculously big. But don’t you ever forget about Nazaré, or the things that Kai Lenny does there.
Red Bull has been dripping out episodes of Kai’s Life of Kai, and since a lot of Kai’s life is spent flying down massive waves in Portugal, episode four continues along from where we left off. This week is a continuation of Kai’s big wave antics and what it takes to put yourself in the places he does. The episode sees Kai when he’s invited to compete in the Gigantes de Nazaré competition before he jets off back to Maui for some truly massive Jaws.
