I arrived at Malibu earlier than usual to catch a solid south swell — so early, the pier was still locked. With my usual filming spot off-limits, I had to improvise and try an angle I’ve been eyeing for a while. What started as a setback turned into one of the best filming mornings I’ve had at Malibu.
Beautiful light, clean surf, and a fresh perspective. In this edit, I take you behind the scenes of how I captured the day — first from behind the fence off PCH, then down on the sand for a more intimate look at the action. This is Malibu at its most pristine, and chaotic. Enjoy!
