Rip Curl’s Padang Padang Cup is one of surfing’s best events. Right now, it’s on high alert for an August 11 start, so the invitees are hanging around, surfing as much as possible both because surfing is the best thing ever and because they want to get as familiar as possible with the wave before the horn sounds.
On this particular day, Mason Ho, James Kusitino, Kya Heuer, Lucy Darragh, and Westen Hirst hopped on a speedboat courtsey of Uluwatu Surf Charters and headed to Desert Point to get their feet in the wax — even though they’ve all got very waxy feet.
