The Inertia

Hurricane Larry smashed into the East Coast this week. A long stretch of waves lit up, from OBX to New England. For the most part, the surf was clean, big, and even more fun than expected. Nathan Florence, who has been traveling a lot of late, decided he’d leave his tropical haunts and find something a little different.

And what he found looked amazing. Not intensely large Tahitian monsters or fun-looking south shore runners, but a swell that everyone on the East Coast waits all year for. Nate flew to New Jersey, where, coincidentally, his mom was born, to wait for Hurricane Larry’s waves. And together, they had a blast.

Only the best. We promise.
