DaHui Backdoor Shootout is a one-of-a-kind surf contest hosted on the North Shore of Oahu. No jerseys are allowed. It’s invitation only. And there’s a solid $40 grand on the line for it all. The best of the best of Hawaiian surfing gathered on the iconic 7 Mile Miracle to take on one of the cleanest Pipe swells of the season. Local charger Koa Rothman claimed the trophy and then dedicated his win to Kalani Chapman, who had nearly drowned after a heavy wipeout on the shallow reef.

Enjoy a few highlights from the 2017 DaHui Backdoor Shootout featuring: Mason Ho, Bruce Irons, and more.
