DaHui Backdoor Shootout is a one-of-a-kind surf contest hosted on the North Shore of Oahu. No jerseys are allowed. It’s invitation only. And there’s a solid $40 grand on the line for it all. The best of the best of Hawaiian surfing gathered on the iconic 7 Mile Miracle to take on one of the cleanest¬†Pipe swells of the season. Local charger Koa Rothman claimed the trophy and then dedicated his win to Kalani Chapman, who had nearly drowned after a heavy wipeout on the shallow reef.

Enjoy a few highlights from the 2017 DaHui Backdoor Shootout featuring: Mason Ho, Bruce Irons, and more.
