Red Bull is placing its bets on the future of Tya Zebrowski. She’s the newest addition to its surf team, arriving just ahead of her debut as the youngest surfer ever – male or female – to compete on the WSL Championship Tour at only 14 years old.

Fellow Red Bull team members Carissa Moore, Leo Fioravanti, and Sanoa Olin surprised Zebrowski on the beach in Hawaii with her first Red Bull helmet.

“When I was in the water, I saw Carissa, Leo, everyone, go back to the beach (while I was going out),” said Zebrowski after the surprise. “I was like, ‘I have a feeling…’ I am just so happy to be on the Red Bull team. It’s a dream come true.”

Zebrowski, a French-Tahitian surfer who grew up between Tahiti and Hossegor, will be rocking the Red Bull logo when the 2026 Championship Tour kicks off at Bells Beach, Australia in April.

Despite her age, Zebrowski has already piled up an impressive list of accolades. She’s won four WSL Qualifying Series events, earned an ISA junior silver medal in the 18 and under division as a 13-year-old, and now sits second on the WSL Challenger Series with two events remaining, already having accumulated enough points to qualify for the CT.

Zebrowski said it “means the world” to her to have Moore deliver the news because she had been a role model to her since she first saw her at eight years old.

“Seeing (Carissa’s) power, flow and kindness in real life inspired me to work hard and start competing,” Zebrowski said.

All eyes will be on the teenager when she goes up against the best in the world on the CT this year.
