You know what the greatest thing about movies is? If they’re good enough, they let us entirely leave ourselves. We sit there in that darkened theater or on our couch at home, smashing popcorn into our mouths and staring vacantly at a flickering screen. But the story on that screen, if it’s good enough, takes us somewhere else for an hour and a half or so. Luckily for us, depending on your taste in movies, the most entertaining of them all often revolve around over-the-top action sequences.
That’s why professional snowboarder Scotty James sat down to break down some of the most ridiculous of all the snowboarding scenes, including ones in XXX, Point Break, Cloud 9, A View to Kill, Last Holiday, Johnny Tsunami and Chalet Girl. James, if you’re not in the loop, is one of the most dominant snowboarders in the world. In late January, he won his tenth straight contest by taking the gold medal at the snowboard superpipe final in the X Games.
