Thomas Campbell is an interesting cat. He’s a creative powerhouse; a genius in many mediums. Artist, photographer, filmmaker, sculptor… whatever it is, if it can be made pleasing to the eye or soul, Campbell will have his hands in it.
He, as you likely know, made such films as The Seedling, Sprout, and The Present. He’s had his work in solo exhibitions all over the world. New York, Paris, Tokyo, Denmark, The Netherlands, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Morocco… all have been graced with his work.
He’s worked with Vissla a handful of times, so the brand thought they’d point a camera at him while he was working away inside his studio in Bonny Doon, California. They had an off-beat, off-the-cuff conversation, and the man’s mind is just as interesting as his work.
