There are a lot of waves in the world that, if you were to snap a photo, would look perfect. As you likely know, that photo isn’t always going to accurately portray reality. Impossibles can be one of those waves — emphasis on can. “Impossibles is very photogenic, to say the least,” writes Surfers of Bali, “but more often than not it runs along the reef a little too quickly for turns or even to make more than a section or two.”
Still, though, that fleeting nature might be what makes it so attractive. You can see how good it could be, if only you could go just a little faster. A photo of the place looks like something you’d doodle in a daydream. But sometimes, everything works out. “There are some that will have a good pace and link up for an extremely long ride,” Surfers of Bali continues. “So even though it may not all be as appears, a super fun session is possible …with a little luck.”
