The Florence brothers grew up with a pretty good backyard playground. It was Ehukai Beach Park, which, of course, includes Pipeline. And since they grew up with one of the best waves on earth as their swing set, they are weirdly, incredibly comfortable out there. Crowds, however, even if you’re one of the best surfers in the world, suck just the same. And since Coronavirus shut down the world, those crowds have all but vanished. So with a whole bunch of back-to-back swells in April, Nate, John John, and Ivan scored — as did a whole bunch of others. The swell you see above was likely the last big one of the season, and what a closing day it was. Not for nothing, but how stylish is Ivan?
