Keiki Shorebreak is a ridiculous wave. For the most part, it’s a place people go in search of a barrel, but not necessarily an exit. It’s a lottery, a shot in the dark. But for those willing to pay the entry fee, there’s a lot of fun to be had.
The place has been the stage for more than a few eye-catching antics, some of which include Clark Little’s stunning photos. It’s not a place that gets all that crowded, mostly because the number of people willing to give it a go when it’s big is pretty low, but on the day in the video above, one bodyboarder took advantage of the fact that no one was out.
The lone soldier in the water was, at first, unknown to the creators of the clip you see above, We Bodyboard. After a little investigating, they found out that it is Ryder Jalbert, a guy with considerable skill on a sponge. But as is often the case at Keiki, the skill of exiting a barrel doesn’t matter all that much when there’s no exit.
