The Inertia

This is nature, raw and untouched. Honolulu waterman Blayne Fujita captured this intense footage of tiger sharks “going to town” on a dead sperm whale near Honolulu. The fish were circling the dead carcass and taking turns tearing pieces off. According to reports, the whale was about a mile and a half offshore, just outside Kewalo Basin. The animals are apparently towed further out to sea when this happens but progress has been slow with this particular animal. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association usually handles these situations but reaction time by the government entity has been slowed due to the partial shutdown.

Fujita, who’s a lifeguard, has captured some pretty radical fish on his Instagram page.
