Nature is so, well, real. That’s why people love to get out and enjoy it. But it can also be really raw. Such was the case with tourists aboard the Jolly Breeze Tall Ship tour near St. Andrews in New Brunswick, Canada this week in the Bay of Fundy. Tourists were taking in the sites, doing the usual whale watching when the unusual occurred: a full blown view of of the predatory instinct at work as a great white tore into a seal. Jolly Breeze runs whale watching with tall ships and jet boats. At least one of the sightseers seemed rather mortified. But again, this is nature. And the tourists, of course, had the luxury of being in a boat, unlike the unlucky seal.
