Well, it’s that time of year again. The time of year surfers on Bali wait for. Uluwatu time. The first big swell of the year rolled into the famous left-hander recently, and it did not disappoint.
“We finally had a big swell arrive in Bali,” wrote Surfers of Bali, and with a light offshore breeze it was game on at Uluwatu.”
Uluwatu can get crowded, but when it gets to a certain size, the wheat is separated from the chaff. Even still, this particular swell gifted a few different options for the wheatier folks and a few others who lean towards the chaff.
“There were a variety of wave shapes on offer with big long walls to intense, heaving tubes up the reef,” Surfers of Bali continued. “Either way, it was one of those days for those with plenty of experience and the ability to paddle out.”
