The Inertia

One of the coolest things about the surf community is you could run into some of the most talented, high profile athletes in the sport at any moment. This could happen anywhere in the world but no place is more of a sure bet than the North Shore of Oahu during the winter months. It’s like surfing’s version of those celebrity house tours people peddle on Hollywood Boulevard, only here it’s not lame. Just post up on the beach for an afternoon anytime around Thanksgiving through February and you’re going to be treated to a good show.

Of course, for Women’s Longboard Tour surfer Kirra Seale, this requires nothing more than staying home while Alex Knost makes the annual pilgrimage from California to Oahu. So here are both surfers on separate winter days displaying one of our favorite things about winter on the North Shore: a free show with plenty of style.
