The Inertia

By now, summer south swells in mainland Mexico are synonymous with one place – Puerto Escondido. And not to steal the Mexican Pipeline’s thunder, but Mexico is so much more than Playa Zicatela.

Eugencio Barcelloni decided to travel through the Mexican states of Oaxaca and Chiapas to get acquainted with the region’s architecture, its people, and most importantly its surf.

He explains: “‘Dispatch from Mexico’ is a mix of images that tell my long journey through the Southern Pacific coast of Mexico, the State of Oaxaca and Chiapas. I often travelled by bus, captivated by the deep roots of these areas, from places of worship and crowded squares to the wild nature, combining my passion for big waves.”
