Mark McMorris is a funny dude, as is the Burton crew he hangs out with up in Whistler. As evidence for such a bold claim, I present to you the above. Incontrovertible, isn’t it?
Mark was riding with Mikey Ciccarelli, Danny Davis, Brock Crouch, and Mark Sollors when the crew stumbled across a gorgeous little boulder field and started seshing the jumps it had to offer. Hilarity ensues as tumbles are taken, as well as a couple of makes. Mostly tumbles, but as I like to tell myself (usually as my body is impacting the snow), if you’re not falling, you’re not trying hard enough. Luckily for Mark and co., the snow is still soft up there in Canada.
This mostly unedited “raw” video is a great peek behind the curtain for any sort of shred flick you might find yourself watching online. On the other side of all those rad pow slashes and ridiculous tricks your favorite athletes are pulling off are tons of falls and probably a lot of laughs. If it’s a Mark McMorris shred flick, laughs were definitely a part of the process.
