Travis Rice is on a different level. There are stars in the world of action sports, then there are stars. People like Kelly Slater. Like Travis Pastrana. Tony Hawk, Shaun White, Dave Mirra. People who come to be almost the face of their discipline. People who are known around the world even if those people don’t follow surfing or skateboarding or snowboarding. Travis Rice is one of those stars.
He’s widely considered to be the best all-around snowboarder in the world. He can win a slopestyle event in Aspen or blow the world’s mind with an Alaskan line that defies belief. He’s won just about everything there is to win, and he’s changed snowboarding for the better. He pushes his own limits which in turn makes everyone else push theirs, and every winter, snowboarding seems to reach another level.
In the short video above, Rice strapped on a GoPro on a couple of trips to Japan and Jackson Hole. He filmed his point of view through stormy days, immense amounts of fresh powder, and just about every condition one could ride on a snowboard.
It’s just a little more proof that Travis Rice is still indeed the most watchable snowboarder on Earth right now.
