The Inertia

There’s a lot to be said about having a vehicle that doubles as a home. In recent years, thanks largely in part to people like Foster Huntington, #vanlife has become a bonafide movement. If you’re into a lifestyle that occurs mostly outdoors, being able to pull up somewhere great and pull the e-brake on your house is pretty damn amazing. Of course, if you’re living in a car on a residential street somewhere, pissing in kitty litter jugs and trying not to appear homeless, that’s a bit of a different story.

The life of a professional action sports athlete is a life spent on the road. Many of those athletes have chosen to stay out of the Motel 6 and get into a rolling home. Take, for example, mountain biker Payson McElveen, motocross rider Ronnie Renner, and freeskiier Michelle Parker, three Red Bull wearing rippers in three different sports. All of them live on the road, and all of them are doing it at max-comfort.
