My name is Tim Borrow. I take pictures for the simple reason that I love doing it. I forever aspire to better my own work and strive to bring my own unique view on the world of surfing and the ocean to the over-saturated industry of surf photography.
Who's bummed about taking gorgeous photos of perfect waves? No one. Photo: Tim Borrow
This is one of my favorite waves to photograph. It's called “The Bubble” and produces some of the most picture-perfect waves. Photo: Tim Borrow
This is the first shot I ever had published and remains one of my favorite shots. Photo: Tim Borrow
I’ve spent the last two summers in France and always love shooting in the evening light. This is Reubyn Ash sticking a pretty hefty reverse. Photo: Tim Borrow
Despite it being wet and cold, I still really enjoy shooting when back in England, especially with guys that can still froth out even if it's freezing and onshore mush. British champ Alan Stokes is pretty good at that! Photo: Tim Borrow
I’ve been lucky enough to work in South-west of France for the last two summers. It's pretty cruisey, and you certainly can’t beat the sunset sessions. Photo: Tim Borrow
I often find that shooting some of the smaller days can be the most fun. Photo: Tim Borrow
It's amazing how time of day and light can make a wave look so different in terms of color. This is The Bubble at the break of dawn. Photo: Tim Borrow
This wave is right on my doorstep, in front of a quiet little fishing town. You can get so many awesome line up shots from within the town. Photo: Tim Borrow
I always love little extra features in my shots such as birds. Oli Adams timed this punt perfectly with a fly-by of sea gulls. Photo: Tim Borrow
Matt Hewitt taking a break from the tour and showing the surf schools how its done in France. Photo: Tim Borrow
I shot this on an old Konica C35 which I picked up on ebay for five bucks. All the hipsters on Tumblr dig it. Photo: Tim Borrow
Recently I’ve been experimenting with shooting underwater stuff. It's such a different world below the surface. Photo: Tim Borrow
The water clarity in the Canaries is crazy. You can get such good definition in your shots. Photo: Tim Borrow
I get a lot of inspiration from photogs such as Chris Burkard who really utilize light within their work. The ‘Golden Hour’ of a sunset is definitely my favorite time to shoot. Photo: Tim Borrow
This is my friend Jon Chick aka ‘Chicken’ riding his single sled. A man of great style in clothing and in choice of surfboards. Photo: Tim Borrow
Late season in Hossegor: un-crowded waves, golden sunsets and plenty of chilled summer vibes. All round good times. Photo: Tim Borrow
Singer/songwriter Ben Howard...him of musical fame getting barreled in France. Photo: Tim Borrow
The mandatory looking-out-the-barrel shot. Just so happens to be one of the first shots I ever took with my waterhousing as well. Photo: Tim Borrow
Winter in England can bring some pretty crazy weather. This day consisted of rain, fog and then a glorious sunset. However, I’m not complaining as it can make for some extremely interesting light. Photo: Tim Borrow
My name is Tim Borrow. I am 22-years-old, I currently live in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, and I have an ever-growing obsession with photography. I grew up in a small English town called Bewdley, in the middle of the country side, at least three hours drive from any coastline. At the age of 15, I started using my dad’s simple point-and-shoot camera to document my friends skateboarding. A year later, I brought my first DSLR and spent the next three years taking pictures of skateboarding. When I was 19, I moved to the coastal city of Plymouth to study at university. It was there where my interests in surfing and the ocean began. Two years later, and I find the ocean, surfing, and the adventures they present to me are where my true passions lie. I take pictures for the simple reason that I love doing it. I forever aspire to better my own work and strive to bring my own unique view on the world of surfing and the ocean to the over-saturated industry of surf photography.
