It’s shaping up to be one helluva season in Hawaii this year. Already the North Shore of Oahu has been seeing some sizable surf due to the Godzilla El Niño brewing around the equator. And those who arrived early or live on the seven-mile miracle have been enjoying some early season glory days before the WSL and the entire surf industry arrives. One North Shore local taking advantage of his homebreaks before the circus arrives is Kalani David – and the kid ain’t holding back.
The latest from RVCA shows Kalani lighting it up around home. Aside from being an amazing skateboarder, Kalani is also a serious standout (and not just for his age group) in the water. He’s on the cusp of becoming legal (look out, ladies), yet he manhandles hefty surf and boosts like the big boys. It seems like every year the kid gets better and better. And if this edit is any indication of the upcoming season he’s about to have, you better not look away.
