Tom Curren’s surfing is one of those things that is timeless. Often emulated but never properly duplicated, he does impossible things with wonderful mix of grace and strength. Even as he’s tacking on the years, Curren continues to prove that he is, and always will be, one of the greatest surfers ever.
As with most successful people, Curren isn’t stuck on one idea. He’s able to look outside the box, and sometimes, he simply builds his own box and does his own thing deep inside it.
Back in 1980, Curren visited France and quickly fell in love. Since then, he’s lived there on and off, slowly getting to know the place, finding friends, and searching for waves.
