Snapper Rocks is one of the best waves on the planet. Jordy Smith knows that well. There are a few huge issues with it, though: first, everyone knows it’s one of the best waves on the planet. Second, it happens to be located on a stretch of Australian coastline that is absolutely full of surfers, all of whom would like to score Snapper at its finest. So when Jordy Smith rocked up to the wave you see in the video below, he was a happy man.
Happy because he’s surfed Snapper when it’s crowded. Sure, he’s surfed it when it’s not, too, but even the best surfers in the world get a little frustrated when they’re banging shoulders with the hordes. This African runner, however, is reminiscent of Snapper… just without the teeming masses.
