One of the best things a surfer can do is get away from the beaten path. Hell, there are so many surfers doing that that many of the roads less taken are turning into beaten paths, but there’s a lot of room on this planet to explore.
Often, it’s the idea that you’ll get stuck somewhere, stranded and alone with no way back, no cell service, and no hope that keeps you from taking off. It’s a pretty rare situation that well and finds you lost without hope, though, and as they say, there’s no real reward without risk. Sure, you could book a hotel with air-con and a pool, but where’s the fun in that?
Jackson Coffey and Toby Mossop aren’t afraid to stray from the beaten path and forge their own road, and with rigs like theirs, it’s no wonder. Follow along with them as they hit the road somewhere in the vastness of Australia for a trip that every surfer should take at least once.
