Summer is just around the bend in California, and with it come those wonderful south swells. Newport Beach’s wildest wave loves a bit of south, and a little while ago, Ben Gravy surfed the Wedge on an early season little bump.
“Absolutely stoked to get a Wedge session in while out here in California during the early season,” he said. “The sand is pretty nuts right now, with a full side wedge and crazy tubes right on the beach.”
It wasn’t epic Wedge, by any means, but when you have Ben Gravy, Kalani Robb, and Blair Conklin with a bunch of floating objects and a very large oceanic playground, you’re bound to be entertained. And despite the lack of bigger waves, they managed to have what looked to be a pretty dang good day at the beach.
