David Collins was born in Dublin, Ireland and now lives in Co. Clare, Ireland. During his 30-year career in marketing has developed some of the biggest hospitality brands in Ireland and the UK. See more at Paddlepillow.com His passion, however, is surfing and his local break for over 20 years is Lahinch in Co. Clare. Following two major disc operations, David was faced with a 3rd, more invasive operation in 2010, which would have at best compromised his surfing career. David set about channeling both his passion and his marketing experience into creating Paddle Pillow, a cheap, simple and effective solution for reducing back strain caused while surfing. His goal is to create something that will make a difference to other surfers, something that will enable others to continue to enjoy and share the gift of surfing.
