If you’re looking for last minute treats to make this holiday season, look no further. Oahu based surfer and health fanatic Andrea Hannemann, aka Earthy Andy, is all about making healthy, delicious treats to fuel her family of five. In the above video, Hannemann puts a healthy spin on a holiday classic: chocolate mousse. Instead of using traditional ingredients like chocolate, heavy cream, and butter, she instead uses all natural ingredients that still result in a decadent holiday treat. Watch and enjoy!

Earthy Andy’s Vegan Chocolate Mousse Recipe (4 servings)


-1 1/2 ripe avocado

-1/4 cup cacao

-1 1/3 coconut milk

-1/3 cup maple syrup

-Eight dates

-1 tsp vanilla

-Optional: 1/2 cup peanut butter and a dash of Himalayan salt

To make: Blend and chill until ready to indulge! Freeze into Fudgsicles for another twist on this recipe! Serve with a dollop of coconut whipped cream or vegan ice cream and a side of peanut butter.
