The Inertia

The Dirksen Derby is definitely one of the best events in snowboarding. Each year, riders come to Mt. Bachelor from all over the world to celebrate the sport and race a super-fun banked slalom course. This year Felix Dallaire won on the men’s side and Mary Rand took the women’s title. But even more important than competitive results is the money Josh and his team donates to charity. Having raised thousands of dollars for good causes over the years, this season’s event benefitted Oregon Adaptive Sports, Protect Our Winters, and Tyler Eklund. This is a one-minute recap I put together in honor of one of snowboarding’s finest parties.
