In the world of surfing videos, there aren’t many that can beat Mason Ho’s License to Chill. Mason’s like that kid down the street that’s always getting into trouble–if Dennis the Menace could surf, we’d have Mason Ho. The North Shore is his playground, and he seems to be at his most comfortable when others aren’t. Whether it’s second reef roll-ins at Pipe or giant Waimea, Mason’s swingset isn’t a place where most people goof around. But he’s Mason Ho, and ain’t it grand?
One of his favorite waves in his backyard playground is Rocky Point, a place where the quality of the waves is often only eclipsed by the size of the crowd. The video above is comprised of a bunch of found footage from older episodes… and how it initially landed on the cutting room floor is beyond us.
