The Inertia

Ocean Beach is one of the more underrated big wave playing fields in the world. It’s right next to one of the most populous cities on Earth. The northern Pacific is always cold. It’s sharky, and when it’s firing, the paddle out is absolutely mind numbing – if your head doesn’t become numb with the cold water and taking waves on the noggin, your shoulders are sure to fall off from the effort. But it can also get fairly world class on its day. Here Raw Days, from Nobody Surf takes a look at this iconic beach break during an April swell that was near the end of the 2020-2021 season there.
