If you know anything about Ben Gravy it’s that the man is froth personified. He’s your stoked-out best friend always pushing you to get in the water no matter the conditions. The guy that needs to be charging something in some way at all times or he starts to get a little antsy.
Gravy takes this to legendary levels, however, when it comes to his never-ending hunt for the novelty wave. The basic premise is this: when there aren’t “normal” or “good” waves to be had, he opens his mind to accepting unique opportunities for being thrust into a breaking wave.
The energy refracting off this Atlantic City inlet is a perfect example. Most of us would look at the miniature waves crashing into the inlet as unsurfable. Meanwhile, Ben sees the water pushing back away from the structure as…well, who knows what he really thought he was seeing? Even Gravy himself asks if this wave is too crazy to surf.
