Distributor of Ideas

Okay, if you can get past the space-age look of this thing, it’s actually pretty interesting. The tent, from Heimplanet, mimics the structure of a diamond after it’s inflated to create a shelter the company claims can withstand wind speeds up to 111 mph (why 111, we don’t know). The material and technology make them expensive little shelters: the cheapest tent is around $550 bucks, the most expensive, the Mavericks, is around $6,500. What?

The thing is roomy, though. The Mavericks fits 10 people, is over six feet tall in the middle and offers some 40-square feet of floor space.
